School is about to resume...
On Wednesday, school goes back in session.
I had a great summer! I traveled 2/3rds of my summer and had a blast!
I am writing a reflection paper and will post it in pieces on this blog.

New York
For the next 12 days I am going to be in New York. For one week, I am interning at Union Square Ventures. I am really looking forward to this opportunity!
Following my internship, I will be taking a train to the West Hamptons and hanging out with some new friends of mine that I met in Boulder, at my summer study/’SAT’ camp. My two closest friends that I made happen to live out in...
RIP Randy Pausch
Randy Pausch would be considered a hero to me. I look up to him and his ways of living life. Unfortunaly, he passed away yesterday. My heart is with his family. I will never forget the lessons learned from his “Last Lecture”:

CU Boulder
I am currently taking an SAT and business/marketing class at the University of Colorado in Boulder for three weeks. So far, it has been really fun! I have never gotten this much lack of sleep in my life. I have been sleeping between 3-6hrs a day. On an average summer day in Houston, I get between 7-10hrs.
In my business class, our final project is to create a ‘start-up’ (my...
Thank-You Notes
Randy Pausch is one of my heroes. He is a professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2006, he was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. Randy achieved worldwide fame for his “Last Lecture” speech given in mid September of 2007.
From his book, I picked up several lessons that will be remembered for a long time (and hopefully implemented throughout my...
Boulder Police
Yesterday night, our ‘evening program’ at CU (University of Colorado in Boulder) was a scavenger hunt. One of the tasks was to take a picture with a ‘friendly’ cop. We had about 3 hours to complete the entire scavenger hunt. In those three hours we walked miles…and could not find a single police officer. It was very disappointing. My group even went to the...

Wachovia (WB)
I decided to buy the stock Wachovia. I bought it at $16.66 last week.
Needles Scare Me
I admit it, needles scare me. I hate giving blood. Today, at the doctor (check up) they had to prick my finger and take a small amount of blood from me. On the outside of me, it may look like I am ok, but the inside of me is crying like a little baby :). I can’t stand to see blood drawn from me. It is ironic because I am the chairman of the blood drives committee at my school. I hold 3...
Sad Night
Tonight is a sad night. Tomorrow will be a sad day. For the last eight years, on this night, I have had a hard time sleeping due to excitement. Why? Because I looked forward to the 5AM wake up call to get up and travel to camp. Tomorrow, I don’t have a 5AM wake up call, nor am I going to be attending camp. I have been attending camp for eight years! One month of my summer has been...

Life without Facebook...
In response to Seth Levine’s post: “Life without email”, I said in a comment that I was going to blog about the titled question - life without Facebook. Is it possible?
Facebook is like a drug to my friends. People are addicted to Facebook. Some friends of mine are on it literally ALL NIGHT. There is not a day go by where you are not on your Facebook. I am on it several...
What is the American Dream?
I was asked that question from my friend tonight. He wanted me to, on spot (in one sentence), tell him what the American dream is. I didn’t really know what to respond with.. In one word, I would have to say, freedom.
In one sentence, what is the American dream to you?

Third Grade Speech
A couple of weeks ago I was asked to speak at my old elementary school (specifically to the third grade class who just finished a project to where students started their own companies). I was asked to tell parts of my ‘entrepreneurial’ career as a kid that has never been shared publicly before. I agreed because I think speaking in front of a bunch of third graders is a great way to...
Spell Check
Evidently, spell check did not work on a few of my last posts. Apologies for the spelling errors! Hopefully, I will soon post on a daily basis. For now, I have to focus on ending a successful sophomore year in high school.
Commit For Life
Today was our school’s blood drive and I happened to be the chair of the event. After a few hectic weeks of planning, I believe today was a success. Our entire senior class is away. We managed to almost have the same amount of donors when our senior class was present. 42 pints of blood were drawn today. Approximately 126 adult lives, or up to 840 premature babies are going to survive...

High School - Courses
My sophomore year is coming to an end. It is time to select courses for my junior year. Also known as the toughest year in high school. It is the year that counts. You have to make good grades, you have to study for the SAT everyday, and as a teenager, you need somewhat of a social life. That is average. For me, I am going to fit in tennis, my start-up, and a charity project I am working...
The Importance of 'Showing Up'
Today was election day in my BBYO (a Jewish youth organization that I am involved in) chapter. Aside from elections, I had a pretty filled up day In the morning I planned a community service project with my school and, of course, I gladly attended. Followed by that, I choose to go to my friends sweet sixteen birthday brunch. Then came a choice I had to make of either playing tennis, completing...
My trip to Boulder: Jared Polis
On March 4th I traveled to Boulder, CO for my first time. My flight arrived in Denver around 4pm and I was in Boulder about an hour later. I was scheduled to meet with Jared Polis (currently running for congress…previously founded three successful companies – Blue Mountain Arts, ProFlowers.com, and American Information Systems). Our meeting was rescheduled for later that night in my hotel...
Yom HaShoah
Today is Yom HaShoah. In English, known as Holocaust Remembrance Day. Today is a day of commemoration for the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. We will never forget.
Thank you! It is amazing what Facebook can do..
This post is dedicated to all the great people that help me immensely with my ventures, specifically business/technology related! Daivd Hornik, Marc Nathan, David Cohen, Mark Schmulen, Dick Costolo, Seth Levine, Jared Polis, Phillip Gordon, and many more. Thank you so much for all that you guys do! You are all both mentors, educators, and friends to me. I would like to especially thank two...
